Over half of the world's cultural diversity will be lost in our lifetimes, extinct forever. But Open Hand is partnering with communities across the world to preserve, celebrate, and share their cultural heritage while meeting local development challenges for cleaner water, more sustainable food and agriculture, and better educational opportunities.
Your support is crucial to our work: by making a contribution, you help ensure the physical and cultural survival of our partner communities in Jordan, Kenya, Bolivia, Panama, and right here in the USA. As one of our Jordanian partners recently stated, our innovative approach is "restoring life" to communities struggling to maintain their traditions.
Open Hand Studios is a Chicago-based 501c3 nonprofit organization, and your donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Giving is fast, easy, and secure online, or send a check by mail. Make your contribution today, and thanks for your support!

Open Hand has received three new grants! One for continuing our work at Umm el-Jimal in Jordan, another for the Learn Lakota project, and yet another to kick off a film project highlighting aboriginal culture in Australia. In addition, there's been a lot of changes recently at OHS, including Director Paul Christians now being based in Saudi Arabia, and Director Jeff DeKock getting married as well as splitting his time between Chicago and Nairobi. Please check back soon for more updates regrading the changes and new grants.
Open Hand's Umm el-Jimal project was recently featured in the internationally distributed Archaeology magazine. Check out the article here.
