Because today's museums are sites where people, objects, and ideas collide, the ability to mesh a variety of approaches is fundamental to create successful exhibitions. Open Hand's growing staff of creative professionals is well equipped to confront these challenges, with years of experience in media, museums, engineering, and project management.
Our members have photographed on five continents and in nearly sixty countries; produced films for a wide range of groups—from foreign governments to local nonprofits; volunteered around the world; and worked inside museums in everything from digital archiving to traveling exhibitions. Open Hand's founders have lectured in U.S. universities and abroad.
But regardless of our diverse backgrounds, we share a deep passion for social justice. It seems unnatural for us not to give back to the communities that have given us so much. As we look to the future, we're excited to spend more time with communities, to build new partnerships, and to empower people.
