Open Hand Studios is dedicated to promoting social and economic justice by adapting indigenous knowledge as a development tool to create innovative multimedia projects and exhibits. Our work preserves by partnering with developing communities to independently protect, celebrate, and share their cultural heritage. It educates by engaging the public to understand people and traditions from around the world with whom they would not otherwise communicate. It supports other nonprofit organizations by providing media services appropriate to their missions. And, it empowers by returning proceeds of our projects to meet communities’ immediate needs like improved education and clean water—creating a sustainable return far greater than the initial investment.
